The North Georgia Golf Academy has cultivated a team of instructors for every player at every age and skill level. Our crew is made up of golf professionals who have extensive experience in teaching. We pair their knowledge and skills with the academy’s cutting-edge technology to bring students the very best. Whether the student has never picked up a club, or is looking to tweak their game or gain a college scholarship, our instructors have helped with their success at every level.

Chuck Scoggins, Director of Instruction
With 25+ years of experience, Chuck has successfully guided 100+ students toward receiving college scholarships, including an impressive six in 2024 alone. His specialty is transforming young athletes from novices to confident contenders on the field. His accomplishments include:
- GRAA Elite Instructor, 2025
- Three-time U.S. Kids Top 50 Teacher
- U.S. Kids Master Teacher
- Georgia Section Junior Golf Leader Award in 2001 and 2013
- 2013 PGA Junior League Captain of the Year
- 2011 and 2013 PGA Junior League National Champions
- 2015 & 2016 FCG Top 25 Elite Junior Coach
- GRAA Top 100 Teaching Professionals for the Past Six Years
Chuck's instruction focuses on the three elements of performance: mind, body, and play. Chuck's passion for the game and dedication to his students set him apart. He understands the importance of starting young and developing a solid foundation in golf technique, strategy, and mental toughness.
A North Carolina native, Chuck now lives in the north Atlanta area with his wife, Michelle. They have two grown sons, Leland and Hogan, and a wayward beagle named Arnie.
